Patient Safety & Medical Information

Last updated: [Insert Date — pending business registration]

Draft — for legal review before commercial launch. This document was prepared as a starting template and has not yet been reviewed by a licensed Indian lawyer.

This policy should be shown during patient registration and before a relevant booking.

1. Mandatory Medical/Care Information

The Customer is responsible for providing complete, accurate and up-to-date information reasonably relevant to care, including medical conditions, recent hospitalisation or surgery, allergies, medications, mobility limitations, cognitive or behavioural conditions, known infections, disabilities, medical devices, fall risk, relevant doctor's instructions and other safety-related information.

2. Duty to Update

The Customer must promptly inform GetBharosa of material changes in condition, medication, treatment, mobility, hospitalisation or care requirements.

3. Sharing With Assigned Caregiver

The Customer authorises GetBharosa to disclose to an assigned caregiver patient information reasonably necessary for safe and proper performance of the booked service. The caregiver must use it only for authorised service delivery and maintain confidentiality.

4. Emergency Boundary

GetBharosa home-care bookings are not emergency medical services. If immediate medical attention is required, the Customer must contact the appropriate emergency service, ambulance provider, hospital or qualified medical professional immediately.

5. Family Responsibility

GetBharosa and the caregiver may rely on information supplied by the Customer. Risks arising solely from information not disclosed, materially inaccurate, concealed or not updated by the Customer should not be attributed to GetBharosa or the caregiver, subject to applicable law.

6. Caregiver Protection

A caregiver is not responsible for an underlying condition, natural progression of illness, unforeseen medical complication, sudden deterioration, accident or emergency to the extent the event occurs without negligence, wilful misconduct or another wrongful act or omission by the caregiver.

7. Scope of Care

The caregiver must not be required to perform a medical procedure beyond their training, qualification, authorisation or lawful scope.

When you add a patient in the GetBharosa family app, you'll be asked to confirm the specific acknowledgments this policy describes.
